Foundation degrees
Investing in the personal development of your staff will make them feel more valued and motivated.
One way to do this is through the use of Foundation Degrees. These are work-based learning that offers staff an opportunity to improve their skills on the job, combining work-based learning with technical, business, management and personal skills.
Foundation Degrees are currently available for the Glass, Furniture, Building Products and Print Industries. coming soon
The following Foundation Degrees are currently in development:
- Foundation Degree for Furniture in Northern Ireland
- Foundation Degree for Paper
- Foundation Degree for Furniture in the West Midlands
- Foundation Degree in Precast Concrete

Most FDs are available Nationwide as they are delivered via work based learning and use of the internet. However this isn’t always the case as some of the more established ones are taught in colleges. The ones that we’re developing however will have be the work based and distance learning element.
There isn’t a focus/working group as such but if anyone would like to have a say they can always go through me and I can pass on their feedback.
