Proskills works closely with Awarding Bodies to develop industry relevant qualifications.

Proskills Awarding Body Forum

The purpose of the group is to facilitate and support a network of communication between key awarding bodies for the Process and Manufacturing Sector, in order to share information and realise Proskills Sector Qualifications Strategy through the accreditation of awards and qualifications required by industry. The awarding body forum meet quarterly.

The objectives of the forum is to enable key Awarding Bodies to:

  • Receive information about current sector skills needs and developments
  • Discuss sector skills issues at a strategic level
  • Participate in the development and review of the Sector Qualifications Strategy
  • Agree actions which facilitate accreditation of awards which recognise achievement and develop skills in the Proskills sector
  • Contribute to strategic qualifications developments
  • Develop, approve and review Units of Learning for Vocationally-linked Qualifications
