Qualifications

  • Safe Use of Power Tools
  • Working practices / procedures / site documentation
  • Carry out site surveys when required
  • Preparation and Planning (inc. interpretation of drawings, levels, setting out etc)
  • Cabinet Assembly
  • Worktops  installation, doors, handles, plinths etc
  • Basic Plumbing Skills
  • Installation of lights and Integrated Appliances (ensuring current compliance is met at all times)
  • Project manage installations when required to do so

 

  • Ability to perform manual tasks.
  • Capable of understanding written instructions.
  • Able to work to a high level of accuracy.
  • Able to carry out basic mathematical calculations.
  • Good communication Skills.
  • Skills in Customer Care
  • Computer and CAD literate.
  • Skills in project management

This will be dependent on the job role at which you enter the industry; however if you have little or no experience 5 or more GCSEs at grade A to C are valued by employers.

There are no fixed entry level requirements.

Qualifications valued by employers may include:

  • GCSE’s, ideally grade A to C
  • A Level’s
  • 2 yr apprenticeship in Kitchen or Bedroom Installation
