Apprenticeships in NI
Earn while you learn...
An apprenticeship can offer you on-the-job training with an employer whilst studying for a nationally recognised qualification such as an NVQ, whilst earning money. Getting paid while you learn might sound too good to be true — but as an apprentice you really do get the best of both worlds.
If you have the dedication to succeed in the world of work, and you're not afraid to commit yourself to one, two or even five years of training and study, then an Apprenticeship could be for you. Apprentices gain respected qualifications while they are getting hands on experience and training.
Within the Proskills sector, apprenticeship schemes are currently available in the furniture, glass and printing industries. Proskills is developing new apprenticeship schemes with employers, and later this year these will be available for coatings, building products and extractives.
