Skills for Business

Proskills Apprenticeship Awards 2008

As part of our remit to promote apprenticeships across our sector and to evidence the real value-add to a business of ‘growing your own’, Proskills is hosting its second Apprenticeship Awards.

This is a UK-wide opportunity for apprentices from across all our industries to raise their profile and show the sector what they are made of!  Employers and Training Providers from the Building Products, Coatings, Extractive and Mineral Processing, Furniture, Furnishings & Interiors, Glass & Glazing, Paper and Print industries are invited to enter their top candidates for the awards.

The meaning of winning

To begin with it comprises an exciting package, which could be the career spring board for the successful candidates and mark the beginning of a future filled with promise!   In addition to winning prizes to the value of up to £500 for the winners and up to £200 worth of prizes for the two runner-ups, the successful candidates are guaranteed regional and national press coverage, which will serve not only to promote their achievements and to raise their individual profile but also the profile of their employer and training provider!
And finally, there will be a special Awards Evening in November to celebrate the Award Winners.

The Proskills Apprenticeship Awards - judged by the sector for the sector – comprises two apprentice award categories and one special award:

Whatever the barriers they have had to overcome, we want to hear their personal story.
