It’s my turn to welcome you to the Proskills UK Group newsletter this month at a time when the skills system is in disarray whilst we await information on who/what will be left standing after the Government’s Comprehensive Spending Review in October.

Another busy month for us here at Proskills with lots of planning and worrying about what may be in store with the new Government.
However, we are working on our public affairs strategy and we hope we can build a good working relationship with the new Government.

If you haven’t heard already, there is just one month left to enter for our annual awards and I really hope you take this opportunity to show what the sector has to offer.
This month, I took part in a 52 mile walk to raise funds for Sense, the leading national charity that supports children and adults who are deafblind. It was a real experience and sense of achievement and I would like to thank you for all your support and donations as we raised over £2K for Sense.

This month, we are delighted to announce the addition of ‘Union Learning Representative of the Year’ in our award categories plus we had great feedback from the MSA/Unionlearn event we held at our offices at the beginning of the month.
We also want to reassure readers that Proskills UK is, and will remain, 100% committed to PrintIT! and the schools into industry programmes. We will continue in our effort to inform and inspire young people into our industries
