NI Executive Committee seek new chair

It was with sadness that the Proskills Northern Ireland Executive Committee accepted the recent resignation of Paul Connolly from his position as Chairperson of the Committee. Paul has left not only the NI Executive Committee but also his position as Regional Director of Cemex (NI) Ltd, as he has emigrated with his family to New Zealand. Paul was an excellent Chair of the NI Executive Committee for several years and was very passionate and proactive in his work with us. Whilst sad to see him go we wish every success in his new venture and life ‘down under’.

The NI Executive Committee will therefore be seeking an employer representative to take over as Chairperson to continue Paul’s good work in promoting skills development to local employers and ensuring Proskills in Northern Ireland meets the needs of local industry. Nominations for the honorary position will be sought at the next Executive Committee meeting which is planned for November.
