Funding available towards Scottish employees developing new skills
Skills Development Scotland have announced the launch of the Flexible Training Opportunities programme.
Aimed at helping small businesses (1-50 employees) become more resilient through the current period of economic recovery, the programme will provide funding for the uptake of skills that will contribute to business productivity and success.
The programme offers small Scottish businesses the opportunity to apply for up to 50% of their employee training costs for up to a maximum of 10 employees, with an overall maximum of £500 per employee.
The types and levels of training that are eligible of support are:
- Qualifications including individual units
- Masterclasses
- Learning based on National Occupational Standards
- First line supervisory management
- Workshops
- Taster sessions
