Ceramics Cluster area awards finalists

The North Staffordshire ceramics cluster has been successful in their application to the Central Government’s Cluster Mark competition, and is one of the cluster finalists to be put forward for the National Awards.

This is a great news for the Ceramics Cluster as they are being recognised as continuing to be a strong sector in the West Midlands.

The North Staffordshire ceramics cluster is diverse in its makeup, with strengths in the tableware (domestic and hospitality), studio ceramics, art ware, giftware and collectables, bathroom products and sanitary ware, floor and wall tiles, refractories, bricks and other construction products as well as a small number of specialist and high advanced technical product manufacturers.

The Ceramics Cluster is a key component of the North Staffordshire economy and, as such, is recognised and supported by the North Staffordshire Regeneration Partnership.

The next stage of the competition is a gala awards evening in March where the Ceramics Cluster will go up against all the other UK clusters who has been put forward by their RDA.

We wish them the best of luck in the competition and for their successful application.
