Apprenticeship week 2010

Apprenticeship Week 2010 celebrates the talents and skills of apprentices.

The aim of the week is to raise the profile of apprenticeships in the workplace, highlight the benefits of apprenticeships in tackling crucial skills shortages, celebrate the achievements of apprentices and the role they play in today’s business, and encourage more employers to take on apprentices.

“The opportunity for employers to capture and train that unique talent you get from a successful apprenticeship has never been greater nor the challenges it brings more difficult. Ever more reason to make it happen and reap the benefits”

Bob O’Shea Chairman, Proskills Print Qualifications Reform Group

Apprenticeship Week will see apprentices, employers, providers and all those involved with Apprenticeship programmes come together to celebrate the value of Apprenticeships.

About Apprenticeship Week

Launched in 2008 by the Learning and Skills Council, Apprenticeship Week 2010 marks the third year of this successful initiative to demonstrate the key role apprenticeships play in ensuring that the UK workforce has the skills it needs to remain competitive.
