Funding

There a selection of Government initiatives in place to encourage employers and learners to train and up skill.

To find out if you are eligible for any funding contact Proskills.

For apprentices aged between 16 and 18, in England and Wales, the Government might fully fund the training costs of an Apprenticeship programme. Where the apprentice is 19 or over, employers are expected to make a contribution towards the cost of training. The contribution does not necessarily have to be a cash payment but can be other contributions that reduce the cost of delivery.

The exact amount of funding available depends on the exact framework that is taken.

Current initiatives for Apprenticeships

England

Apprenticeship Grant

The National Apprenticeship Service will provide up to 5,000 Apprenticeship Grants, with a value of £2,500 to encourage employers to take on unemployed 16-17 year olds as apprentices.
