Have you checked the average age of your workforce recently? If you do you might get a nasty shock! Look again at the people that will be retiring in the next few years taking all of their experience with them, and then you will realise why recruiting and training apprentices is a good idea.

Within the Proskills sector, apprenticeship schemes are currently available in the furniture, glass and printing industries. Proskills is developing new apprenticeship schemes with employers, and later this year these will be available for coatings, building products and extractives.
