Hello and welcome,

June has been a busy month with the applications for the Proskills Awards and we will be announcing the
Tom Bowtellfinalists next month.

Other major activity taking place includes the redevelopment of qualifications under the Qualifications Credit Framework (QCF) with Proskills determining which industry specific qualifications are fundable under the Train to Gain initiative and the Adult Learner Responsiveness strands. We have also intervened to ensure that over 30 Proskills' qualifications remain accessible to public funding from the end of July.

Although qualifications are changing to a new modular "bit size" structure, we want to reassure everyone that these changes do not mean that previous qualifications are going to disappear. Previous qualifications remain valid and recognised and those on a course or registered for a course, have a time frame in which to complete the qualification.
